One MacRumors source “with a proven track record,” had stated (ahead of WWDC) that iOS 17 would drop support for the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X, and the sad fact is that cut-off appears to have held firm, now that the release is official. We'd heard conflicting reports surrounding the availability of iOS 17 ahead of its formal unveiling, but we now have the answers we were waiting for.
